All about Matt!
Hi everybody I’m Matt (though you probably figured that out already) and welcome to my website!
I’m a Bay Area-born-and-raised illustrator/designer with a passion for injecting as much fun into my work as possible. I graduated from the Academy of Art University San Francisco with a degree in animation and visual effects and have been working in various creative fields for over 20 years.
My primary focus has been creative work for international tech companies like Western Digital, DDN, and Rambus. I have generally been the lone designer handling all the creative responsibilities for companies of all sizes, but have also managed teams and creative departments. I’ve done just about everything you can imagine from website and social media management to explainer videos and animations and so much more!
Outside of my corporate gigs I work as an illustrator and comic/children’s book artist. I’ve worked on comic projects for properties like The Simpsons and DreamWorks, children’s books for Tommy Wiseau (writer/director/star of The Room) and Friesen Press, and have illustrated pieces for RiffTrax and the Washington Post to name a few.
I also travel around and work the comic convention circuit year-round, so swing by and say howdy sometime!
